BITSOM’s flagship program is its MBA. The total fee for the 2026-28 batch is INR 28.55 lakh. The eligibility criteria for admission to MBA is that the candidates must have passed graduation. The selection criteria is based on CAT, GMAT, GMAT Focus, GRE scores, followed by profile-based evaluation, which includes essay writing.

As part of the application, candidates are required to submit two mandatory essays based on given prompts, with an option to write a third essay. Shortlisted candidates are then called for a personal interview.

Ans. BITSOM prioritizes students based on 3 characteristics: academic ability, leadership impact, and uniqueness. Candidates need to be strong in all three areas, which will increase the probability of getting admitted to BITSOM.

Ques. How is the interview process executed for MBA at BITSOM?

Ans. After being selected for the interview, candidates need to visit the portal and book the interview slot. The interview is conducted online through a Zoom meeting. On the day of the interview, the meeting link is made available on the application dashboard. The interview panel consists of senior BITS Pilani alumni, senior management of BITSOM, and the Dean. The interview can extend up to 30-45 minutes based on the discussions. During the interview candidate’s strengths, achievements, and aspirations are tested.

Ans. The interview is conducted to test the strength of candidates. They can expect behavioral and situational types of questions during the interview. The candidate’s past leadership and teamwork experiences are also explored during the interview. The three Cs of leadership, that is, campus, community, and corporate leadership, are explored in the interview. Candidates with work experience should expect questions related to career progression, professional achievements that created an impact, and competencies. Freshers are asked questions related to their projects and internships.
