Only candidates who have qualified in the national eligibility cum entrance test for postgraduate courses in the relevant year may take part. They must hold a recognised bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree, or the corresponding dental degree for dental seats, and must have completed or be due to complete the compulsory rotating internship by the cut-off date stated in the notification. A permanent or provisional registration with the medical or dental council is required. For state quota seats, candidates must also satisfy the domicile or in-service conditions notified by the Chhattisgarh government, and the certificates, bond obligations and category documents required are set out in the counselling brochure for the year.
