CNET is an objective entrance test with multiple-choice questions, and the content of the paper depends on the programme applied for. For the four-year bachelor of science in nursing the paper is based on school-level physics, chemistry and biology, usually with sections on English and general aptitude or general knowledge. For post basic and postgraduate nursing programmes the paper is based on nursing subjects studied at the earlier level, so applicants are tested on professional content rather than school science. The test is scheduled for June 3, 2026 and is conducted at centres notified by the university within the state. Results are issued as a merit list, and admission is then made through centralised counselling in which candidates fill choices and are allotted seats in government nursing colleges and other participating institutions, with reservation applied as prescribed by the state.
