Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test

The test is generally an aptitude paper rather than a syllabus based subject paper, assessing reading comprehension and verbal ability, critical and logical reasoning, and quantitative or analytical reasoning at a general level, so a candidate from any class 12 stream can attempt it. It is normally delivered in a computer based or remotely proctored format, with the number of questions, duration, sectional structure and negative marking announced in the admission notice for the cycle in question. Scores feed into a merit assessment that may also consider past academic record, and for some programmes an interview or a statement of purpose forms part of the selection. The university runs multiple admission cycles in a year for some programmes, and the test is offered on more than one date in several of those cycles.
