Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test

The paper is a single objective, multiple-choice test drawn from the syllabus of an undergraduate law degree. It covers areas such as jurisprudence, constitutional law, public international law and the substantive and procedural branches studied during the LL.B., testing conceptual understanding of law rather than general aptitude or current affairs, and there is no drafting or essay component. Ranks from the test feed a centralised counselling process in which candidates exercise web options for LL.M. specialisations and institutions, including the law departments of Osmania University, Kakatiya University and Telangana University and the private law colleges affiliated to them, with seats allotted by rank subject to reservation and local-area rules. The number of questions, the sectional split, the duration and the marking scheme are notified each year in the official information brochure.
