Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test

The test is computer based and consists of objective multiple choice questions taken in a single session. The paper covers mathematics and statistics at the level expected of a graduate, logical and abstract reasoning, computer concepts and computer awareness, and English comprehension and verbal ability, so it checks both quantitative reasoning and readiness for a computing degree. The CET Cell announces the number of questions, the duration and the marking scheme in the information brochure for each cycle. After results, candidates register for the centralised admission process, upload documents for verification, fill in institute and course preferences, and receive seat allotments over successive rounds, with an institutional level round for seats left vacant. Institutes affiliated to Maharashtra technical universities and to the state's autonomous colleges participate in this process.
