Jammu University Entrance Test

Each paper is generally an objective, multiple-choice test drawn from the subject knowledge expected of a candidate at the qualifying level, so a commerce paper covers areas such as accountancy, business studies, economics and basic finance, while science and humanities papers follow their own discipline. The number of questions, the duration, the marking scheme and whether any negative marking applies are announced by the university in the admission notification and prospectus for the year. Candidates register online through the university admission portal, choose their programme and paper, appear on the notified date, and are then admitted through a merit list that may combine entrance test performance with marks in the qualifying examination in the weightage the university prescribes. Counselling, document verification, reservation rules and fee payment follow the schedule set out in the official prospectus.
