Test (CTET) 2015 is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for candidates seeking eligibility to teach classes I to VIII in Indian schools. It assesses teaching aptitude and subject knowledge for primary and upper primary levels. The test is mandatory for appointment as a teacher in government, aided, and unaided schools under the Right to Education Act.
Candidates who qualify receive a CTET certificate, which remains valid for seven years from the date of declaration of results.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks to apply for Paper I (classes I–V). For Paper II (classes VI–VIII), a graduation degree with at least 50% marks is required. There is no upper age limit.
Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, PwD) receive relaxation as per government norms. Candidates in their final year of qualifying exams may also apply provisionally.
