To apply you need to meet these conditions: The scheme is intended for students enrolled in class 9 at a recognised school who belong to a tribal community and live in the area the sponsor has named. Applicants are generally expected to have passed class 8 with at least the minimum marks stated in the scheme notice and to come from a family whose income falls within the sponsor's limit. Supporting evidence of residence, community status and current school enrolment is normally required, and for applicants of this age a parent or guardian usually completes the process on the student's behalf.
