The GDCT Media Fellowship Program supports PhD-level journalists who want to research and report on tribal identity, democracy and development in Jammu and Kashmir. The fellowship is open to entry-level and mid-career journalists committed to understanding the social, cultural and economic realities of the region. Fellows receive time and resources to produce articles or photo-essays that highlight issues faced by less privileged communities, especially the Gujjar community.
The program is run by the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, a Jammu-based NGO focused on human development.
