About this Scholarship
The Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholars Scheme supports Goa residents pursuing PhD programmes by covering tuition and research costs. Aimed at fostering advanced academic research within the state, it targets doctoral candidates enrolled in Goa-based institutions or Goan-origin scholars who have studied in Goa for a significant part of their academic career. The scheme is designed to strengthen research capacity and innovation in Goa’s higher education system.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Goa residents for at least 15 years or of Goan origin having studied in Goa for seven of the last ten years. They should be below 35 years of age as of 1 January in the year of application. Candidates must hold a qualifying postgraduate degree from an institution preferably located in Goa.
The scheme is open to all categories including general, SC, ST, OBC, EBC, EWS, DNT, and PwD candidates.
How to Apply
Apply through the official portal listed by the Department of Education, Government of Goa. Submit academic transcripts, proof of Goa residency or study, age certificate, and caste certificate if applicable. Ensure all documents are self-attested and uploaded in the prescribed format.
