The Marine Engineering Admission Notice is for Indian students completing higher secondary education who want to train as marine engineers. The scheme is a three-year residential program approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. It includes nine months of documented shipboard training as Engineer Cadet under the STCW 95 Code A-III/1.
The course prepares candidates to meet global standards for operating and maintaining merchant fleet machinery.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to Indian students who have passed the +2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must be medically fit as per DGS standards and meet the age criteria specified in the official notice. There are no income or mark thresholds; selection is based on merit and medical clearance.
