BITS Hyderabad recorded an overall placement rate of 81.01% for the 2023–24 drive. A total of 297 companies participated in the placement process.

For First Degree (BE and equivalent) programs, 693 out of 871 registered students were placed, resulting in a 79.56% placement rate. In the Higher Degree (ME, M.Pharm, PhD, etc.) category, 186 out of 214 registered students secured placements, achieving an 86.92% placement rate.

The median domestic salary offered was INR 18 LPA, while the average domestic salary was INR 20.78 LPA. The highest package often reaches INR 1 crore.

Some of the top recruiters were Dell, Oracle, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Deloitte. Student reports indicate a 40–55% Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) conversion rate among summer interns in software, analytics, and core roles. For top-tier tech and product companies, PPO rates rise to about 60% with strong internship performance.

Students with medium-level DSA and 2–3 solid projects commonly secure packages of INR 10–18 LPA. Roughly 65–70% of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) offers are pure software roles. For Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), about 40–45% land software roles, 25–30% core roles (VLSI, embedded), and the rest in analytics or consulting.
