Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College (DrNGPASC) was established in 1997 by the Dr. N. G. P. Research and Educational Trust, formerly known as the Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust, in Coimbatore. The college is a co-educational, self-financing institution.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) granted the college autonomy in 2015-2016. The college is affiliated with Bharathiar University in Coimbatore.
