All India Design Aptitude Test Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying for undergraduate diploma and degree design programmes are required to have passed Class 12, or an equivalent examination, from a recognised board, and students appearing in it may usually apply subject to producing their result. Candidates applying for postgraduate diploma and degree programmes need a bachelor degree from a recognised institution, in design or another discipline depending on the course. Any stream is generally accepted at undergraduate level, since the test measures aptitude rather than subject knowledge. The minimum marks required, age conditions, application fee and the requirements of individual participating institutions are set out in the official AIDAT notification.
