Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test

AP POLYCET is an objective test with multiple-choice questions based on the class 10 syllabus followed in Andhra Pradesh, covering mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, with the sections a candidate answers depending on the diploma group applied for. The paper is meant to check basic school-level understanding rather than advanced technical knowledge, since candidates enter directly after secondary school. The examination is held at centres across the districts of the state and is offered in the language options notified by the board. Marks are converted into a rank list, and seats are allotted through centralised web counselling in which candidates verify documents, exercise course and college preferences, and receive allotments according to rank, preference and the reservation policy of the state. Participating institutions include government polytechnics, aided polytechnics, private unaided polytechnics and polytechnic wings attached to other institutions.
