Common Entrance Examination of Association of Minority Professional Academic Institution

The examination is an objective, multiple choice test based on the Class 11 and Class 12 science syllabus. It generally assesses physics, chemistry and mathematics, along with an English section, so that a candidate's readiness for an undergraduate engineering programme can be judged on a common scale. The number of questions, the duration of the paper, the language of the question paper and the marking scheme, including any deduction for incorrect answers, are stated in the information brochure issued by the association for that cycle. Results are declared as scores and ranks, which are then used by the participating member institutions while filling the seats they administer. After the result, candidates take part in the counselling or admission process announced by the association and the individual colleges, which involves choice filling or direct application, certificate verification and fee payment. The examination for the current cycle is scheduled for May 2026.
