CET Delhi is an objective test made up of multiple-choice questions based on school-level subjects, with the question paper differing according to the
diploma group a candidate applies for. Groups generally include full-time diploma programmes in engineering and technology, diploma programmes in fields such as pharmacy and hospitality where offered, and lateral entry routes for candidates who already hold a relevant qualification. The subjects tested are drawn from mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, English and general aptitude in the combinations specified for each group. The examination is expected in April 2026 and is held at centres in Delhi. Results are issued as a merit rank, after which candidates take part in online counselling, fill their choices of institute and trade, and are allotted seats according to rank, preference and the reservation policy applicable in Delhi, including seats for candidates from Delhi and from outside. The group-wise syllabus, question count, duration, marking scheme and counselling procedure are stated in the official information bulletin.
