A candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university, and the qualifying degree must meet the subject requirement prescribed for the programme, which for computer applications commonly means mathematics studied at the Class 12 or graduation level, as specified in the notification. Candidates in the final year of their degree may generally apply subject to producing proof of passing before admission is confirmed. Domicile and reservation benefits under the state quota are granted only on production of the certificates prescribed by the state government.
