For management admission the test follows the pattern common to postgraduate management entrance papers, assessing quantitative ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning, verbal ability and reading comprehension, and general awareness, in order to judge whether a candidate can cope with the analytical and communication demands of an
MBA programme. It is conducted by the university at its own centres or online, with the sitting scheduled for May 2026, and shortlisted candidates move to the later stages of selection, which typically include a personal interview and, for some programmes, a written or group assessment. Final selection is based on the combination of stages the university specifies rather than on the test score alone. Admission is to the programmes of CMR University's constituent schools in Bengaluru. The section structure, duration, marking scheme, weighting of the selection stages and the list of programmes covered are set out in the university's official admission notification.
