Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test

The selection test is an objective, multiple choice examination whose paper depends on the level of the programme applied for. For the management programme the paper is aptitude based, generally covering quantitative ability, logical and analytical reasoning, English language and comprehension, and general awareness including business and current affairs, so that graduates from different backgrounds can be assessed on a common basis. Design and undergraduate papers include the design aptitude, general knowledge and reasoning components prescribed for those courses. The number of questions, the duration and the marking scheme are stated in the information brochure published for that cycle. Results are declared as scores and ranks, and shortlisted candidates are called for the next stage, which may include group discussion, personal interview or a portfolio review as notified. Seats are then allotted through counselling across the institute's campuses, with reservation and category rules applied as per the prospectus.
