Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, in any stream, since media programmes do not usually require a particular subject combination. Students appearing in the qualifying examination in the year of the test may apply and are considered provisionally until they produce their result. Holders of a recognised diploma may also be accepted where the participating institution allows it. The minimum marks in the qualifying examination, along with any age condition or additional requirement, are those stated in the official notification and in the admission rules of each participating institution.
