Electronic Common Hospitality Aptitude Test Exam Pattern 2026

The IIHM eCHAT 2024 exam is an online entrance test with a total of 50 questions. You must attempt all 50 questions within a time duration of 60 minutes (1 hour).

The question paper includes different types of questions to test your aptitude and skills. The types of questions are:

• Multiple choice
• True/False
• Text fill-in-the-blank
• Numeric fill-in-the-blank
• Multiple selections (you can select multiple answers)
• Picture-click multiple choice

The test covers questions from these broad sections:

• Logical Reasoning
• Mathematics
• General Knowledge
• Science
• English Language

Your admission does not depend solely on your marks in the exam. After the exam, shortlisted candidates are called for a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. The interview generally takes place online, but if there is a change, it will be held at your nearby preferred centers.
