International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad Post Graduate Entrance Examination

The test has a general aptitude paper taken by all candidates and a subject paper chosen according to the programme applied for, with subject options covering computer science, electronics and communication, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, civil engineering and other listed streams. The general paper assesses quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, basic algorithmic thinking and analytical ability, while the subject paper tests core undergraduate material in the chosen discipline. Candidates shortlisted on the written result are called for interviews conducted by the research centres and laboratories of the institute, where research interest and depth of understanding matter as much as the written score. Final selection is based on the combined performance. Applicants holding a valid GATE score are, in some admission cycles, considered through a separate channel without the written paper.
