International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad Undergraduate Entrance Examination

UGEE is conducted by the institute itself and is designed to look for research aptitude rather than only speed at solving standard problems. It has traditionally been organised in more than one part, with a subject proficiency component testing mathematics, physics and related school level science, and a separate aptitude component that presents unfamiliar material and asks candidates to reason with it. Shortlisted candidates may then face a further interview or interaction stage before an offer is made. The test is used only for admission to programmes at IIIT Hyderabad, an autonomous deemed university, and not by any other institution. The exact number of papers, their duration, the mode of testing and the marking scheme are decided by the institute for each cycle and are published in its admissions announcement.
