Overview

ATIT is an objective, multiple-choice paper covering school-level mathematics, physics and chemistry, with the syllabus drawn from the class 11 and class 12 curriculum, and in some cycles an English or aptitude component. It has been offered in online proctored and centre-based modes. Candidates register through the university's admission portal, sit the paper, and are then considered for seats in undergraduate engineering and technology branches such as computer science, electronics, civil, mechanical and their specialisations, as well as certain science programmes. A separate lateral-entry route exists for diploma holders, tested on the relevant diploma subjects. Applicants who already hold a valid rank in a recognised national or state engineering entrance test can generally seek admission on that basis instead. Scholarships offered by the institution are often linked to performance in the test or in the qualifying examination, on terms published in the prospectus.
