Joint Admission Committee Chandigarh

The committee brings together the participating engineering colleges of the Chandigarh region, including institutions run by the Chandigarh Administration and affiliated bodies, and carries out registration, choice filling, merit list publication, multiple rounds of seat allotment, document verification and reporting. Seats are divided between the Chandigarh pool and the general pool as defined in the committee handbook, with reservation applied according to the rules in force. Candidates pay a registration and counselling charge, upload documents, lock their preferences and then receive allotments round by round, with options such as freeze and float where offered. Vacant seats after the main rounds are filled through later or physical counselling rounds. Because it is a counselling process, there is no syllabus, no mock paper and no exam day pattern to prepare for. The handbook and notices issued by the committee for the year in question are the only reliable source on eligibility, seat matrix and schedule.
