Joint Entrance Exam Main Eligibility Criteria
JEE Main is open to candidates who have passed class 12 or an equivalent qualifying examination, or who are appearing for it in the year of the examination. Applicants for the engineering paper are expected to have studied Physics and Mathematics together with a further science or technical subject as prescribed, while architecture and planning applicants must have the subject combination specified for those courses. Candidates from all states may apply, and category reservation follows central rules. The qualifying marks, the permitted years of passing, any age condition and the number of attempts allowed are laid down in the official information bulletin issued by the National Testing Agency, and candidates should confirm them there before applying rather than relying on unofficial summaries.
