The test is an objective, multiple-choice paper based on the class 11 and class 12 syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with the number of questions, the sectional split, the duration and the negative marking rule announced by BOPEE in its notification for the year. Candidates apply online through the BOPEE portal, download the admit card, appear at an allotted centre in the union territory, and are then placed in a merit list built from their scores, with tie-breaking rules published in advance.
