Where the association runs an admission process, it covers registration by candidates who belong to the relevant religious or linguistic minority, verification of minority status and other documents, preparation of a merit position, choice filling across the member institutions, and allotment of seats followed by reporting. The courses covered are typically undergraduate engineering and technology programmes at the member colleges, with the seat matrix restricted to the minority quota of those institutions.
