The process is run online by the admission authority appointed by the Government of Rajasthan under the state's engineering admission process, working with the state technical university and its affiliated colleges. Candidates register on the admission portal, pay the processing fee, enter their
diploma or degree marks, upload documents for verification, and fill in preferences of college and branch. A merit list is drawn up, after which seats are allotted in successive rounds, with reporting, fee payment and internal sliding, and vacant seats are filled in later or mop up rounds. Seats are offered against the supernumerary lateral entry intake in each participating institute. Because this is a counselling process, the important dates to watch are registration, choice filling and reporting deadlines rather than a test date.
