Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Entrance Exam

The entrance test is an objective, multiple-choice paper set at the level of the qualifying examination for the programme applied for, so a certificate or diploma level paper draws on class 10 mathematics and science while degree level papers draw on class 12 physics, chemistry and mathematics. The number of questions, duration, sectional split and negative marking rule are announced by the institute in its admission notification. For programmes not covered by the institute's own test, admission is made on scores from national tests such as the engineering entrance test for degree admission, the graduate aptitude test in engineering for postgraduate engineering, and the recognised national management test for the institute's management programme, followed by the institute's own counselling. Applications, admit cards, merit lists and counselling schedules are handled through the official SLIET admission portal.
