The test is an objective examination pitched at the level normally expected of management entrance tests, assessing quantitative and data interpretation ability, logical and analytical reasoning, verbal ability and reading comprehension in English, and general awareness of business and current affairs. It is delivered in the mode and number of sessions notified by the university for the admission cycle, and shortlisted candidates are then called for the further stages the university prescribes, which usually include a group discussion or written assessment and a personal interview. Final selection combines the test performance, the later stages and the academic record. Because it is a single-institution test, its syllabus, pattern and even its name are set by the university, so candidates should read the current admission notification rather than relying on descriptions from earlier years.
