Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test

The test is an objective, computer-based paper built around general aptitude rather than any specialised management syllabus. It assesses analytical ability, including data sufficiency and problem solving, mathematical ability covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry and elementary statistics at school level, and communication ability, which tests vocabulary, functional grammar, business and computer terminology and reading comprehension. No prior study of management or computing is assumed. The examination is held over several shifts and a common merit list is prepared from the scores. Ranks are then used in a web-based counselling process in which candidates give preferences for MBA and MCA seats in state universities and their affiliated private colleges, with seats allotted by rank subject to reservation, category and local-area status.
