Uttarakhand Board Of Technical Education Joint Entrance Exam Polytechnic

The examination is organised into separate groups, each with its own question paper matched to the diploma sought. The main engineering group is built on the class 10 syllabus in mathematics and general science, while other groups cover the subjects relevant to pharmacy, hotel management, modern office management, textile design, post-diploma and lateral-entry admissions, so a candidate answers only the paper for the group applied to. The questions are objective and multiple-choice. After the result, the board conducts online counselling in which candidates give institute and branch preferences, seats are allotted by rank over successive rounds until vacancies are filled, and admission is confirmed on document verification at the allotted polytechnic. The syllabus for each group, its marking scheme and the counselling schedule appear in the information brochure the board issues for the year.
