Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam

The management paper of the state entrance examination is an objective, multiple-choice test of general management aptitude rather than of prior management coursework. It covers the areas usual for management entrance testing, including quantitative and numerical ability, reasoning and data interpretation, English language and comprehension, and general awareness, so candidates from any degree background can attempt it. The examination is organised paper-wise, with separate papers for the different programmes the university admits to, and a candidate takes only the paper for the course applied for. Ranks are used in a centralised counselling process in which candidates give preferences for the affiliated institutions offering the programme, and seats are allotted by rank subject to the state's reservation and domicile rules.
