Eligibility
Admission to the Bachelor of Design programme at IIT Guwahati in Guwahati, Assam is entrance-based: candidates who have completed Class 12 apply through the national design-aptitude entrance test that the institute accepts for this programme, and a rank or score in that test decides who is called forward, not marks in Class 12 alone. Because the seats are limited and the test is competitive, meeting the basic Class 12 qualification is only the first step; the qualifying score and cut-off rank used for admission are set afresh each year by the conducting body and by the institute, so a candidate should check the current year's notification rather than assume an earlier cut-off still applies.
