Fees
Fees at IIT Kharagpur for the Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch] program are structured per semester. Tuition fees for general category students are set at Rs. 100,000 per semester. Additional expenses include hostel fees, approximately Rs. 8,500, and variable mess fees, generally around Rs. 32,000, leading to a total semester cost of about Rs. 150,000. For students from reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC, tuition fees are waived entirely.
Furthermore, for families with an annual income below Rs. 1 lakh, tuition fees are also waived, and those with incomes below Rs. 5 lakh may receive a 33% tuition fee concession. IIT Kharagpur offers various scholarships, such as the Merit Cum Means Scholarship, potentially reducing costs further. Refundable deposits and potential extra charges depend on specific circumstances, and students are encouraged to explore eligibility for financial support on the official IIT Kharagpur website.
