How is life at MNIT jaipur??

This is my second response here, and I'm thrilled to talk about a place that means so much to me. After spending two years at MNIT Jaipur, I feel well-equipped to share my thoughts. Like any place, it has its ups and downs, but as the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, those two years at MNIT were the best of my life. Located in Jaipur, a major metro city in India, the campus is very appealing. It's surrounded by lush greenery and features a big canteen named ANNAPURNA, where you can get basic meals and snacks. Although the hostels are new, there's still a shortage of rooms for girls, with only three hostels for them compared to eight for boys. Each hostel has its own canteen, perfect for satisfying late-night cravings during exams or just hanging out over tea or coffee. The mess food is decent, though not top-notch. There's also a temple on campus that hosts various religious festivals. Plus, there are plenty of shopping spots nearby, like GT and WTP.As for academics and administration, there's room for improvement. Professors expect students to stay active in current research fields, but getting a simple stamp on a document can mean visiting the academic branch several times. Some of the lecture halls could use a renovation. Typically, the day begins with a sunny morning, attending classes, and ends in a peaceful evening setting. The infrastructure is quite impressive, especially the new PRABHA BHAWAN. I could go on and on about MNIT.Overall, MNIT gave me two of the most exciting years of my life, where I felt like I lived many lifetimes. So yes, life at MNIT is pretty amazing. Is Faculty of Law DU better than NLU Dwarka for judiciary aspirants?

NLUD is on a whole different level. If you think Faculty of Law at DU is good, then NLUD is top-notch. That's it from me. Good luck!

I am unable to decide which college to choose between MNIT Jaipur, DTU given that I am getting CSE in both MNIT is well known where as DTU is has a better college life and is also situated in Delhi?

If you're stuck choosing between these two colleges, I'd recommend picking DTU for CSE through JAC Delhi over MNIT for CSE. DTU is just as reputable as MNIT Jaipur, although it doesn't hold the NIT title. It boasts excellent infrastructure, great libraries, a student activity center, sports facilities, and more.Plus, being located in Delhi is a big plus, as it attracts top tech companies offering impressive salary packages. DTU's placement records are often likened to those of the second-generation IITs. The exposure and campus culture here are exceptional, so you likely won't regret choosing DTU CSE over MNIT Jaipur CSE.

If you're looking to relax or shop, World Trade Park and Gaurav Tower are just a short distance away. Hostel Facility: The campus offers a decent hostel experience, covering all the essential needs. Lecture Hall: MNIT boasts the largest lecture hall in Asia, known as VLTC. Sports Facility: The institute hosts a variety of sports events such as AIAMBT, MST, and INTER NIT, among others. Labs: The labs are currently quite good, though there's room for improvement. Placement: Placements are particularly strong for computer science students, but not as much for other branches. Incubation Centre: This is where skills are honed, and future entrepreneurs are nurtured. Campus: The campus is both nice and lush with greenery. What are some good things and bad things about MNIT Jaipur?

I graduated from MNIT Jaipur, so I think I can share some insights.If you're thinking about joining for CSE or ECE, you might want to reconsider because the coding culture is practically non-existent. However, for other branches, it's a solid choice.Pros: The campus is stunning and centrally located in Jaipur, with malls and parks nearby. You'll enjoy good hostel and nightlife. The campus has AC classrooms, a library, a bank, ATMs, and a post office. Hostels also have LAN and WiFi. The food is average. For CSE/ECE/EE students, companies like Apple, Salesforce, D.E. Shaw, and top US banks do come for recruitment. In Mechanical, PSUs like BPCL, GAIL, IGL, and top automobile companies visit as well. Cons: There's no real coding environment or interaction between seniors and juniors. Big companies like Microsoft and Google don't come for recruitment. Only a few top product-based companies show up.

What is your review of Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur?

As someone who just started at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, I can say it's been awesome so far! What I've loved most is the freedom and the calm vibe here.Campus life is pretty chill. There's no ragging, and the seniors are super nice and helpful. The hostel curfew is at 9:30 pm, but I'm told it might be relaxed soon. Compared to other NITs where my friends have curfews as early as 6-8 pm, this is much better. That's when you really start enjoying your evening, right?The campus is huge, covering 320 acres of green space. Prabha Bhavan, the main building, is an eco-friendly silver-rated structure. We've got all sorts of sports facilities, although there's no swimming pool. There's tennis, volleyball, badminton, basketball courts, a gym, a chess room, football fields, a cricket ground, and practice nets.Classes are held in the VLTC, known as one of India's largest lecture complexes, and it's fully air-conditioned. The library is great too. I got lost on my first day there! It's air-conditioned, so you can comfortably study all day. There are a couple of small canteens open till late, a cafeteria, and a big canteen, so you're covered for food.On the academic side, I can't say much yet, but the professors seem okay. Seniors say it's mostly about your effort. There's strong support for research and start-ups. Plus, there are clubs for just about everything, including HOPE, an NGO.Connectivity is top-notch since the campus is in Jaipur's heart. The city blends tradition with modern amenities, and everything is close by. Places like WTP and GT are within walking distance, with cafes like CCD and Brown Sugar right opposite. You’ll often spot a pizza delivery guy zipping around campus.So far, my experience has been fantastic. The student diversity is impressive, and there's someone for everything you might need. You can really pursue your interests here with the freedom and lighter academic load. It's a great spot for introverts and peace lovers who want to explore without too much hustle and bustle.

What are the pros and cons of MNIT Jaipur??

The good things about MNIT Jaipur have been covered by others, so I'll talk more about the downsides here. I studied CSE in the general category at MNIT, and my experience with placements wasn't great, which is why I'm sharing this. If you're someone who just follows teachers without question, you might not find this helpful. But if you're really into learning a specific technical skill, read on.In the first year, you have to study subjects like Engineering Design, Mechanical Fundamentals, Electrical Fundamentals, Electronics Communications, Logic Design (second year), Physics, and Chemistry. As a computer science student who loves coding, I didn't see how these subjects related to what I wanted to learn. Until the sixth semester, we didn't get to study important skills like Java, Web Development, App Development, or Machine Learning in our courses.Because of this, my CGPA was below 7 before the seventh semester, and I didn't get a job through campus placements. My mistake was focusing too much on coding and not enough on subjects like CAED. However, I eventually got a job at an MNC, so it's all good now.Here are some suggestions: Students should have more choices in picking their subjects. The strict attendance requirement, which was 75% when I was there, should be relaxed. Many professors overload students with assignments, which isn't fair to those who work hard. I'll share more details about the downsides later since there are issues that aren't often discussed. If you're really into coding, even NIT Kurukshetra might be a better choice, as they teach DS, ALGO, OS, DBMS, and Web Development by the end of the second year.Academics at MNIT could really improve. What is the craziest thing you have done as a student at MNIT Jaipur?

During my first year at MNIT Jaipur, I decided to call for a mass bunk for the D1 batch during a Maths class. To my surprise, Mr. Bhattar was right behind me when I did it. He told me not to attend his class for the rest of the semester. Luckily, a few days later, he forgave me.

How are the placements at MNIT Jaipur?

From the 3rd year of college students starts getting pre placement offers by many companies. The companies that come in our college for placements are TATA, WHIPRO, MAHINDRA, INFOSYS,GOOGLE, MICROSOFT and many more. Highest package that was offered in whole college was 96 lacs per annum and average package was around 12 lacs per annum.If branch specific highest was 32 lacs per annum and average was 8 lacs per annum. In whole college around 70 to 80 percent of the students get palced in all the branches. I will pursue for Civil Services Examinations after the completion of the degree.

How is the faculty at MNIT Jaipur?

The faculty to student ratio in the college is 25 students on 1 teacher.We can approach the faculties either by the mobile number provided by them or if mobile number is not provided we approach to them through (Class Representative). The faculties i like are firstly, our mechanical workshop sir he was very kind and knowledgable person he also used to give us practical life knowledge. Exams happen semester wise within every six months, the mid sem exams also take place in the middle of the semester. Other than that some of the teachers of some subjects took exam according to their need and the marks are added in internal evaluation.

About the Institution

Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, was founded in 1963 in Rajasthan as Malaviya Regional Engineering College. MNIT Jaipur is accredited by NBA, and it is also approved by MHRD and AICTE. MNIT Jaipur Ranking by India Today was 18 out of 284 for BTech in 2024.

MNIT Jaipur courses that are offered include BTech, BArch, MTech, MBA, MSc, PhD, etc. MNIT Jaipur offers BTech as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 75% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

The campus is spread over 312 acres and is clean and green. It has fully air-conditioned labs and lecture halls, along with fast Wi-Fi. The campus also has material research centres and incubation centres.
