NLU Jodhpur offers scholarships to support students based on merit and family income. The main internal schemes are the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship and the Vedantam Seshaiah Shasthri Memorial Fund. Students have also received external scholarships.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

This scholarship is for 2 undergraduate (UG) students in each batch. Your family income must be below INR 8 lakhs per year. You need a minimum CGPA of 6.0, and you must not be from the NRI category.

The scholarship is awarded at the end of each academic year. It is given as a refund on tuition fees. Selection is based on a points system that considers both your CGPA and family income.

• CGPA 8 & above: 0.5 points
• CGPA 7.5: 0.4 points
• CGPA 7.0 – 7.5: 0.3 points
• CGPA 6.5 – 7.0: 0.2 points
• CGPA 6.0 – 6.5: 0.1 points

• Family income below INR 3 Lakhs: 0.5 points
• Family income INR 3 – 4 Lakhs: 0.4 points
• Family income INR 4 – 5 Lakhs: 0.3 points
• Family income INR 5 – 6 Lakhs: 0.2 points
• Family income INR 6 – 8 Lakhs: 0.1 points

Vedantam Seshaiah Shasthri Memorial Fund

This scholarship is for UG students in their 3rd to 5th year. Your family income must be below INR 8 lakhs. The most deserving student is granted INR 50,000 per year. Applications typically open between October 1 and 10.

External Scholarships

NLU Jodhpur students have been recipients of external scholarships. These include the Aditya Birla Scholarship, notably for top-ranked entrants, and Reliance Foundation awards. Students have also received international honors like Chevening.

Who can apply

First-year students are eligible for certain merit-based and external scholarships. However, most internal scholarships, such as the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, are awarded to students in later years of study.
