CSIR’s Post-Graduate Research Training Programme is a government scholarship for bright young engineering graduates who wish to develop into future technology leaders for India. The programme is run by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. It offers research exposure across a wide range of engineering and technology domains, including aerospace, electronics, and ocean exploration.
Selected candidates receive financial support and mentorship to pursue advanced research.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to Indian citizens who have completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates in the final year of their degree can also apply. There is no specific income limit, but preference may be given to applicants from reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and DNT.
