About this Scholarship
The Library Fellowships, offered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), provide short-term research support to Indian PhD students and scholars. The fellowship supports six-month projects on either India's Cultural Diplomacy or Maulana Azad's Vision on Science, Technology and Development. Each fellowship carries a grant of Rs.50,000, intended to cover research expenses and living costs during the tenure.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to Indian post-graduate and doctoral students enrolled in recognized Indian institutions, civil servants, and independent research scholars. Applicants must be below 35 years of age as on the date specified in the official notification. There are no income or mark-based conditions; selection is based on the relevance and quality of the proposed research.
How to Apply
Prepare a research proposal aligned with one of the two specified topics. Submit the application form along with supporting documents—proof of enrollment, age certificate, and a detailed project outline—before the deadline listed on the official ICCR page. Incomplete or late applications are not considered.
Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview.
