About this Scholarship
The Study in Iraq Program – Scholarships Scheme is a government‑funded initiative that allows Indian students and researchers to study or conduct research at Iraqi higher‑education institutions. The scheme is administered by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in partnership with host Iraqi universities, which provide full tuition waivers and related support. Applicants may enroll in undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral programmes, or join research projects in fields such as engineering, medicine, humanities and social sciences.
The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation and a modest living allowance, as detailed on the official page, and the application deadline is 15 June 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
Indian nationals who have completed the relevant preceding academic level (high school for undergraduate, bachelor’s degree for postgraduate, master’s for doctoral) are eligible.
