Over the years, there have been many notable personalities who are excelling in their particular fields and have been associated with Trine University. Ralph Ketner was the co-founder of Food Town, a 1,300-store grocery chain while Isabelle French was the National President of the Society of Women Engineers from 1964-66. Rupa Shanmugam is the president and COO of SoPark Corporation in the state of New York. Some of the other notable personalities include Jerry L. Allen who received an honorary doctorate in 1998 and the Pillar of Success Award in 2003. Karen Austin is the senior vice president at Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
