Hostel Facilities at XIMB
XIMB provides hostel facilities for students of its Residential Programs. The campus has seven hostel blocks with more than 600 rooms in total.
Each hostel is equipped with facilities such as television, washing machines, water filters, and geysers. All hostel rooms have round-the-clock internet access via Wi-Fi and LAN connections, linking them to campus-wide internet and intranet services. The campus has multiple food vendors who cater to students from morning to late night.
Fr. Gnanarethinam Gents’ Residence (GR-I)
GR-I is the first hostel block built on the campus. This two-storey structure was constructed in 1987.
GR-I has close to 200 rooms in a single-occupancy setup, spread across four separate blocks. The building houses one Student Mess, the Kitchen, and the Convenience Store. It also has a multipurpose hall and multiple open spaces for student functions and recreational activities. Indoor sporting facilities are available inside GR-I.
Russi Mody Hall (RMH)
RMH is the first Ladies’ Hostel block built on the campus. This two-storey structure was constructed in 1987.
It has 60 rooms in both double and single-occupancy setups. A multipurpose hall is also situated inside RMH for use by the students.
Mother Teresa Ladies’ Residence (MTR)
MTR is the New Ladies Hostel, built in 2009 to accommodate an increasing number of female students across the programs. It is a five-storey building.
It provides accommodation in 100+ single-occupancy rooms. A multipurpose hall containing recreation and indoor sporting facilities is situated inside MTR.
CENDERET Gents’ Residence
CENDERET is a two-storey structure constructed in 1994. It provides accommodation in 30+ double-occupancy rooms.
The residence has one multipurpose hall for recreational activities along with a Study Hall used for academic purposes. Indoor sporting facilities are also situated in CENDERET. The building also has a canteen providing snacks services till late night.
Fr. Bogaert Gents’ Residence (GR-II)
GR-II is the newly constructed hostel, built in 2009, to accommodate an increasing number of male students across the programs. It is a four-storey building.
It provides accommodation in 100 single-occupancy rooms. A multipurpose hall containing recreation and indoor sporting facilities is situated inside GR-II. The building also houses a Student Mess and Kitchen.
Studio Apartments
The Studio Apartments are the newest of all hostels on the campus. This massive five-storey building provides accommodation in 100+ double-occupancy rooms.
It houses both male and female students on separate floors of the building. It has a multipurpose hall for student activities.
EMBA Hostel
The EMBA Hostel is a two-storey structure constructed in 1987. It has close to 50 single-occupancy rooms with two separate blocks.
This hostel was constructed to accommodate the students of the Executive MBA program.
