DY PATIL VIDYAPEETH ALL INDIA BIOTECHNOLOGY COMMON ENTRANCE TEST

The paper is an objective test covering the science subjects studied at Class 11 and Class 12 level, generally Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and Mathematics in the versions that require it, with questions set as multiple choice items to be answered within a fixed overall duration. Where a postgraduate route is offered, the paper is set instead at the level of the relevant bachelor's degree in life sciences or biotechnology. A merit list is prepared from the score and used for admission and counselling at the institution, and the seats concerned are those of the biotechnology and bioinformatics school of the university and the allied departments that take part. Since this is a university level test, the result is used for admission within that university rather than by a wider group of colleges.
