Executive Management Aptitude Test

EMAT follows the pattern common to management aptitude papers rather than testing any prescribed syllabus. Sections of this kind assess verbal ability and reading comprehension, quantitative ability covering arithmetic, algebra and data interpretation, logical and analytical reasoning, and general awareness of business and current affairs, so that institutes can judge whether a candidate can handle the analytical and communication demands of a management course. The test is conducted within the time the conducting body prescribes and the sitting is scheduled for April 2026. Scores are reported to the candidate and to the institutes accepting the result, which then run their own selection stages, commonly a personal interview and an assessment of academic record and work experience, before making offers. Accepting institutions are business schools and management departments offering executive and part-time management programmes.
