Candidates applying through the undergraduate route must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, in any stream, and those still appearing may usually apply provisionally. Candidates applying for the postgraduate route must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university, with final year students allowed to apply pending their result. Work experience is not normally a requirement. Minimum marks in the qualifying examination, age conditions and any additional requirements are decided by the conducting body and by each participating institution and are set out in the official notification.
