After the overall result, JAC publishes district-wise and division-wise pass percentage data. In recent years, districts like Kodarma (99.04% in 2023) and regions like Santhal Pargana have been among top performers.

Checking the Result

The result portal requires the Roll Number and Roll Code, both of which are on the admit card. Without these two details, the result cannot be accessed online.

If the admit card is misplaced, the student should contact the school before result day. The school can retrieve the roll details from its records.

Compartment Exam

The JAC Board Class 10 Compartment Exam is usually held in August, about 2-3 months after the main result. In 2026, practical exams ran from August 1 to 6 and theory exams ran from August 7 to 12.

For 2027, a similar schedule is expected. Students must apply through their school within the deadline, usually in July, to be eligible.

Failing in Three or More Subjects

Students who fail in three or more subjects are not eligible for the Compartment Exam. They will need to re-appear as a regular or private student in the next annual JAC Board Class 10 examination in 2028.

The school should be contacted for re-registration guidance. The school can clarify whether the student needs to rejoin as a regular student or can appear privately.

Marksheet Correction

For a marks error, students can apply for scrutiny on jac.jharkhand.gov.in within 10-15 days of the result declaration. The fee is ₹450 per subject.

For personal detail errors such as name or date of birth, the school must be contacted immediately. The school will raise a correction request with JAC on the student's behalf. Both types of corrections should not be delayed.
