Overview

The engineering paper is an objective, computer-based test drawn from the class 11 and class 12 syllabus in mathematics, physics and chemistry, with additional sections on English and general aptitude in most cycles. It has been conducted as a remotely proctored online test as well as at test centres, and the university has in some years allowed candidates more than one attempt, taking the best performance. Candidates apply through the university's admission portal, select a slot and centre, and after the result are ranked for seat allotment through the university's own online counselling, where they choose campus, programme and branch. Seats in engineering branches such as computer science, information technology, electronics, mechanical, civil, biotechnology and their specialisations are filled this way across the university's campuses. The sectional split, marking scheme, negative marking and counselling rounds are published in the admission brochure for the cycle.
